Oscar winner Ron Howard (“A Beautiful Mind”) directs the action adventure “In the Heart of the Sea,” based on Nathaniel Philbrick’s best-selling book about the dramatic true journey of the Essex. In the winter of 1820, the New England whaling ship Essex was assaulted by something no one could believe: a whale of mammoth size and will, and an almost human sense of vengeance. The real-life maritime disaster would inspire Herman Melville’s Moby-Dick. But that told only half the story.

20th Century Fox has moved up Roland Emmerich’s Independence Day sequel one week from it’s original July 1, 2016 release date to June 24.


Will Smith maybe out, but his co-pilot wants in. Jeff Goldblum is in talks to reprise his role as the brilliant MIT graduate, David Levinson, in director Roland Emmerich’s Independence Day 2. In a new interview with The Huffington Post, Goldblum says, “I’ve talked to them” about the long-awaited alien invasion sequel and he’s “anxious and eager” to read the script. Goldblum could join Bill Pullman, who is rumored to reprise his role as President Whitmore. Emmerich’s 1996 blockbuster Independence Day, also starred Randy Quaid, Vivica A. Fox, Mary McDonnell, Judd Hirsch, Robert Loggia and Mae Whitm.

Robert Downey Jr. has confirmed there is currently no plans for ‘Iron Man 4′, but he may reprise his role as Tony Stark/Iron Man in another yet to be announced Marvel project. While promoting his latest film The Judge on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show,” Downey revealed that he’s “in the middle of negotiations” with Marvel Studios. On the “Late Show with David Letterman” Downey admitted “There’s no script for ‘Iron Man 4′, but I’m gonna do other stuff with Marvel.” Downey can next be seen as Iron Man in Avengers: Age of Ultron on May 1, 2015.

Focus Features has set Babak Najafi (Easy Money II: Hard to Kill) to direct their ‘Olympus Has Fallen’ sequel London Has Fallen. Director Fredrik Bond (Charlie Countryman) recently dropped out of the project due to “creative differences.” Gerard Butler, Aaron Eckhart and Morgan Freeman are returning for the sequel. ‘London Has Fallen’ begins in London, where a funeral for the British Prime Minister turns into a deadly plot to kill the world’s most powerful leaders.

Godzilla helmer Gareth Edwards is attached to return as director. According to Legendary Pictures, we may see Godzilla battle his most famous enemies Rodan, Mothra and King Ghidorah in the sequel.

Plot Summary

Director Ridley Scott tackles the Biblical epic story of Moses. To escape the edict of Egypt’s Pharoah, Rameses I, condemning all newborn Hebrew males, the infant Moses is set adrift on the Nile in a reed basket. Saved by the pharaoh’s daughter Bithiah (Hiam Abbass), he is adopted by her and brought up in the court of her brother, Pharaoh Seti (John Turturro) and his wife Tuya (Sigourney Weaver). Moses (Christian Bale) gains Seti’s favor as well as the hatred of Seti’s son, Rameses II (Joel Edgerton).
